Vestibular Rehabilitation
Description
Vestibular Rehabilitation
At Physionyx Physiotherapy & Rehab, Vestibular Rehabilitation is a personalised, exercise-based physiotherapy programme for people experiencing dizziness, vertigo, imbalance, motion sensitivity, or difficulty maintaining balance. The programme helps the eyes, inner-ear balance system, and body work together more effectively during movement.
Treatment may include gaze-stability exercises, head and eye coordination, balance retraining, posture and gait training, habituation exercises, neck mobility, strengthening, and repositioning manoeuvres for suitable cases of positional vertigo such as BPPV. The plan is selected after assessing the patient’s symptoms, balance, walking ability, visual responses, neck movement, and fall risk.
At Physionyx, the goal is to reduce dizziness-related limitations, improve balance and walking confidence, support safer daily movement, and reduce the risk of falls. Exercises should be individually prescribed because some causes of dizziness require medical or ENT/neurological assessment before physiotherapy begins
